Mind-bending, or at the very least mind-tickling, is the best description I can come up with for Chaos. One of the basic ideas of modern science is that the laws of the material universe can only be meaningfully understood by expressing quantified measurements. I've been told that Chaos: Making a New Science is a good book about chaos theory but I haven't read it myself (although I'd like to). See the link at the right side (in the blogroll). Only a few people are awake, and they live in a state of constant, total amazement.
